Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is essential in the field of psychotherapy, counselling, mental health and medicine.  It enables the practitioner time to reflect on the work they are undertaking with clients and to develop practice through regular discussions and reflections. The process is accepted as being an ethical imperative.

I have completed clinical supervision training with SDS –CSAccred.(AAC) and as a newly qualified supervisor I can offer integrative and systemic facilitative approaches to individuals and groups.

I value my own supervision and continue to benefit greatly from it. I enjoy the process of supervision and find it very fulfilling to assist practitioners to develop their knowledge and self-awareness through non-judgemental collaboration.

The amount of supervision needed, as suggested for example by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, is 1.5 hours per calendar month.  This is regarded as the minimum needed by all counsellors.
